One night romantic trip. 40th birfday.
Anyone got a belting idea where to take a bird for a one-night trip. 40th so got to be decent. Preferably with a link so I don’t have to do any work sorting it. One nighter, don’t mind where, has to be GOOD.

Personal experience would obvs be preferable.

If it's not too much of a journey, stay at the Maison Talbooth hotel, Dedham and dine in their restaurant. Restaurant is about a 10 minutes walk from the hotel.

Take to her to Tom Kerridge's Hand and Flowers in Marlow.
Meal will be about £200-£300.
If you stay in one of his places too, another £200 which includes a brilliant breakfast
Expensive? Yes, but WELL worth it
Thank me later

Chewton Glen as mentioned is first class as has been mentioned, been once and it was great.

Crazy Bear is pretty average to be honest and everyone and their dog seems to go there in the last couple of years so very little imagination.

I stayed here with the wife last weekend and it was amazing, one of the best places I've ever stayed for quality of accomodation, and you get to stay right next to grown lions and we had a golf buggy for the weekend to explore the safari park. Plus the food in the restaurant was top notch to.

I'd rather be surrounded by 'Chavs' than some fucking Rupert who says 'fab'.

Looks quality that always, never been to the New Forest bizarrely either considering my love for anything scenic in Britain.

I'm not all bad, I'm letting her meet me at Tower Hill for lunch in Zizzi's on her way to Gatwick ;o)

I'd love to be romantic and have the money to do loads of things with her, but the modern world has beaten it all out of me and I'd rather just chill out with our dog.

You'll do well to beat this!

Dig deep though as it's not cheap... Fab place and not a chav in sight when I've been.

My birds birthday tomorrow (44th), so I encouraged her to go to Spain with her friends so that I don't have to do anything.

I love that sentiment

Get one of them pod things with a hot tub.

Prices per night can range from £50 to 4 figures.

Fucking loads of them about all over the country and almost always a decent country pub or whatever nearby.
